Reporting

Management-Ready Financial Reporting

Reporting turns a maintained ledger into information a business can act on. Eccountrio prepares Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet statements, management reports, and account and variance review.

What's included

  • Profit & Loss
  • Balance Sheet
  • Management reports
  • Account and variance review

How it works

The Profit & Loss shows performance across a period — revenue earned, costs incurred and the resulting profit. The Balance Sheet shows position at a single date — what the business owns, what it owes and the owners' residual interest. Variance review is the step that makes either one useful: comparing the period against the prior period or budget, and explaining the movements that are large or unexpected, so the statements prompt a decision rather than just closing a file.

Who this is for

  • Owners who need to see performance without reading a raw ledger
  • Businesses reporting to a lender, board or investor
  • Accounting firms preparing client-ready management packs

Reporting — questions

What reports do you prepare?

+
Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, management reports, and account and variance review.

What is the difference between a P&L and a Balance Sheet?

+
A Profit & Loss covers a period of time and shows revenue, expenses and profit for that period. A Balance Sheet is a snapshot at one date, showing assets, liabilities and equity. The P&L explains what happened; the Balance Sheet shows where the business stands.

Are reports included in the monthly plans?

+
Yes. Monthly P&L and Balance Sheet are included in the recurring plans, along with month-end review. The Hourly plan includes basic reports and review.
